My name is Fei Sun, but you can call me Apu. I am a tea maker, an anthropologist, and a believer in the power of connection. Living in Xishuangbanna, on the edge of Laos and Myanmar, I have spent years walking the line between modern development and traditional wisdom.
My journey—from studying Cultural Anthropology to managing ecological projects—has taught me that true conservation only happens when local people are the primary beneficiaries. I started this project to assist minority communities in preserving their handicrafts and rebuilding their cultural confidence. I am most at home in the field, working side-by-side with tea farmers to turn their heritage into sustainable livelihoods. I see my role as a bridge: using social science to solve development problems and connecting the world to the “living voices of the forest”.
